FAQs About Tyvek Pants
Tyvek pants are, perhaps, the gold standard of disposable pants. Made by DuPont from a proprietary, durable fabric, Tyvek pants can help protect the integrity of the cleanroom as well as the person wearing the pants.

Below are frequently asked questions about Tyvek pants for cleanrooms and labs.

What Are Tyvek Pants
Tyvek pants are lightweight, durable, protective pants that are designed to be worn over your regular clothing. The pants provide a barrier against particulate contamination, non-hazardous liquids, and dust.

What Are Tyvek Pants Made Of
Tyvek pants are disposable pants that are made from high-density, polyethylene fibers. These unique fibers are durable, breathable, and low-linting.

What Are Tyvek Pants Used For
Tyvek pants are commonly used in cleanrooms and other controlled environments, to prevent particles or fibers from regular clothing from entering the environment.

Do Tyvek Pants Prevent Particle Shedding
The non-woven material in Tyvek pants minimizes particle shedding, which makes the pants ideal for cleanrooms, labs, and other controlled environments.

Are Tyvek Pants Disposable
Tyvek pants are disposable, designed for single use.

How Much Protection Do Tyvek Pants Provide
Tyvek pants block fine particles, dust, and fibers – from entering the cleanroom and from reaching the person wearing the pants. The pants provide limited protection against light liquid splashes and non-hazardous liquids. Tyvek pants aren’t designed to protect against strong chemicals or hazardous substances.

Are Tyvek Pants Breathable
The fabric in Tyvek pants is breathable – allowing air and moisture (e.g. sweat and heat) to pass through, while still blocking particles and contaminants.

Are Tyvek Pants Worn Over Regular Clothing
