Please note that we have three choices in motorized HEPA filters and ceiling fan filters:

The motorized fan filter units is an FFU or it is sometimes called a MCF (motorized ceiling filter). This module is a self-contained fan filter unit that draws air in through a top mounted prefilter.  It then blows the air out the other side through a HEPA or ULPA filter into a controlled space.  A typical installation application is into a 2' x 4' tee bar ceiling grid system. The units can also be mounted on a support frame or suspended from a support structure. The variable speed control is numbered 1 through 10 positions on the dial.

The galvanized steel blower housing screws to the top of an aluminum framed HEPA or ULPA filter. The internal direct drive blower/motor assembly is isolated from the exterior housing by torsion flex motor mounts and rubber vibration isolation mounts. 

Model CAP-119-424 motorized HEPA filter is UL 900 listed. 

REPLACING THE HEPA FILTER
The HEPA filter element is replaced by unscrewing the top metal blower housing from the aluminum HEPA filter frame and then re-attaching the top metal blower housing to the new filter element.  The HEPA filter element typically lasts for many years.
