ACL Staticide ESD Safety Shield coatings are made of a proprietary blend of conducting polymers which allows the coating to be inherently dissipative regardless of ambient relative humidity. Unlike surfactants, this Pedot formulation provides dependable protection by allowing static to dissipate safely without wearing off or losing resistivity. Curing this coating can be done at ambient temperatures or accelerated through low heat. This product is ideal for plastic parts, electronic housing, bins, clamshell packaging, and shelving to prevent static buildup and maintain ESD safety standards.

Intended for indoor use, that Static ESD Safety Shield is simple to use since it is a water based on part system. Whether applied by spraying, flow coat, dipping or foam brush, the coating will be translucent without appearing "milky".

Staticide ESD Safety Shield's low V.O.C. formulation will not outgas harmful or volatile components once dry. It is RoHS compliant and meets ANSI/ESD S20x20 for static dissipation. 

Like the topicals, in the right situation, Staticide ESD Safety Shield provides a cost effective solution without sacrificing efficiency and quality. It is suitable to use where static interferes with production assembly and ideal to use in static control environments to prevent ESD events. Use on electronic packaging, conveyor parts, and on objects in electronic assembly work areas.

DIRECTIONS:
Pretreatment: clean surface with isopropyl alcohol to remove dust and prevent specking. Preheat parts at 140 - 175 F (60-79 C) for better coverage (optional)

Application: Ideal conditions for applying coating are 60-75F (15-23 C) and 30- 40% RH. Apply coating using a HVLP sprayer, polyurethane foam brush, flow coating system or by dipping. Coating will be dry to touch in 2 hours (7 days for full cure).

Treated parts can be force air dried at 175-195 F (79-90C) for 15 - 30 minutes in an oven (optional). Clean applicator tools with water immediately after use. Ideally machined through features such as screw holes, tap holes, and oval slots should be machined after treatment. Test plastics before use. 

Maintain coated surface with ACL-6001 Mat & Table Top Cleaner.
