Nitrogen spray guns, (also known as N2 spray guns), are used wherever hostile environments exist (such as those in semiconductor fab plants). The PTFE nitrogen spray guns deliver the optimum in anti-corrosion protection and long lasting duty wherever harsh chemicals are used in the vicinity of nitrogen dispensing/drying.  Made of PTFE and poly they resist acid fume attack. Also, the nitrogen spray guns’ unique design eliminates costly nitrogen leaks (these leaks usually occur in conventional guns around the depress button).  Nitrogen spray guns are available individually or as assemblies with coiled hose. 

FEATURES OF THE NITROGEN SPRAY GUN
The features of the nitrogen spray gun include:
•90-degree spray angle
•handle is molded from PVDF on the nitrogen spray gun
•single exit nozzle that’s 0.90 inches in diameter
•OSHA 1910.242(b) and 41 CFR-50-204.8 compliant with their filter and housing attached*
•includes one disposable TACODISC filter**
•the disposable TACODISC filter disks have a 25 mm diameter, copolymer filter element that’s sandwiched between and supported by 2 pieces of molded acrylic plastic

*As defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, dead ending is a buildup of back pressure due to nozzle obstruction.  hen dead ending occurs pressure, is diverted out the side of the nozzle of the nitrogen spray gun assembly.

**Note that the size filter we use is a custom filter for our nitrogen spray gun only. We’re only able to offer the one filter, with a 0.80 micron hydrophilic membrane and a polypro/acrylic housing. A smaller micron filter is not available.

HOW TO CHOOSE A NITROGEN SPRAY GUN ASSEMBLY
There are several factors to consider when choosing a nitrogen spray gun assembly.

Spray Direction Of The Nitrogen Spray Gun: You can choose between a model that sprays the N2 gas straight out of the top of the nitrogen spray gun, or one that sprays it from the front of the nitrogen spray gun (at a 90-degree angle). The pressure diverts out the side of the nozzle assembly when unable to leave the spray port.

Hose On The Nitrogen Spray Gun: For the hose on the nitrogen spray gun, you can choose a blue, coiled polyurethane (PU) hose which is resistant to oils, solvents, and weak acids and bases. Or you can choose a hose that is PTFE (FEP). This Teflon hose is made by Chemours (a spinoff of DuPont), and it provides a higher level of anti-corrosion protection from harsh chemicals.

Trigger Location On The Nitrogen Spray Gun: You can choose a nitrogen spray gun that has a rear trigger that you depress with the palm of your hand, or a front trigger that you activate with your finger.

NITROGEN SPRAY GUN PACKAGING 
Each nitrogen spray gun is packaged in a 4 mil bag. Spray gun can be brought into a cleanroom gowning room, unpackaged, wiped down and brought into a cleanroom.  Spray guns are cleaned throughout the manufacturing process. A final cleaning is done before packaging. Nitrogen spray guns are packaging for a cleanroom environment.

NITROGEN SPRAY GUN OPERATING PRESSURE
Maximum operating pressure for all N2 spray guns is 75 PSI.
